Do I need to attend an in-person appointment?

You are eligible to skip onboarding if you are seeking to speak to a GP about mental health, sexual health, women’s health or men’s health concerns, or if you are currently covid-19 positive or in an area impacted by natural disaster. 

What does it cost?

All our appointments are fully bulk-billed to Medicare, so as long as you have a current Medicare card you will never have any out-of-pocket costs.

What is the covid-19 exemption?

If you have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 7 days you are eligible to speak to our GPs for any health related concern. This includes medical certificates. You may have tested yourself either at home with a RAT or with a PCR test at a pathology lab.

Who are the doctors?

Every .doctor GP is an AHPRA-registered & fully-insured doctor based in Australia who adheres to the highest clinical standards. Your doctor’s provider and prescriber number will be written on any prescription or referral given.

Who can use .doctor?

Anyone in Australia with a Medicare card can attend certain appointments if they are eligible to skip onboarding. If you have attended an in-person appointment with us in the last 12 months, then you are can book unlimited telehealth (video or phone) appointments.

How do I get a prescription online?

Once you’ve joined the .doctor family you can request a prescription by booking a video or phone appointment and asking your doctor on that call. Your script will be sent by SMS instantly to you.
