We were founded in July 2023 in Broken Hill. 

Our Founder, Dr Ramu Nachiappan, struggled to recruit GPs to work in the practice he had run for over 30 years in Broken Hill and came up with the idea of connecting GPs living anywhere in Australia to his patients in Broken Hill.

The idea worked, and we now provide telehealth services to patients Australia-wide, with a focus on rural and regional areas.

Anyone in Australia with a current Medicare card can book consultations with .doctor. Depending on your location and the health concern you want to discuss, you’ll be connected with a suitable practitioner.

Every .doctor practitioner is AHPRA-registered & fully-insured, based in Australia and adheres to the highest clinical standards. Your practitioner’s provider and prescriber number will be written on any prescription or referral given.

You can find us in ASIC under Dot Doctor Pty Ltd (ABN 21 669 980 965).  We’re an Australian-owned company and have our physical practice in Broken Hill, NSW. 

All our appointments are fully bulk-billed to Medicare, so as long as you have a current Medicare card you will never have any out-of-pocket costs.
